I get a security warning when I launch That’s Rights! (or EasyRoyalties)

Problem: you receive a warning when you launch That’s Rights! or EasyRoyalties with the message “A potential security concern has been identified.”

This can happen with a new installation of That’s Rights! or EasyRoyalties because the installation procedure fails to set certain privileges for some of the folders used by the software.

To fix this problem, perform the following steps:

1. Exit That’s Rights! (or EasyRoyalties), if it’s currently running.

2. Open the Windows Command Prompt. (In your Start menu, search for “Command prompt”.)

3. In the Command Prompt window, type the following command, including quotation marks (select the appropriate command for the product that you have installed):

For That’s Rights!:
“C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Sagekey Software\StartAccess5_2010.exe” -trustedfolder=”c:\Program Files (x86)\JDC Software\Thats Rights v4\”

For EasyRoyalties:
“C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Sagekey Software\StartAccess5_2010.exe” -trustedfolder=”c:\Program Files (x86)\JDC Software\EasyRoyalties v4\”

For That’s Rights Agents:

“C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Sagekey Software\StartAccess5_2010.exe” -trustedfolder=”c:\Program Files (x86)\JDC Software\Thats Rights Agents v4\”

4. Press the Enter key.
Now launch That’s Rights! (or EasyRoyalties, and the security warning should no longer appear.)
